1. Akron Family Restaurant
This family-owned traditional diner serves American comfort food as well as breakfast all day long. Kids will love the blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes, the cinnamon apple waffle, or the French toast, while the adults can enjoy one of the many breakfast specials, all at affordable prices. We also like to stop in for their family dinner specials, such as pasta dishes, country-fried steak, smothered chicken, strip steak, and much more.
In addition to all of this, they boast the best salads in town as well as subs, pitas, and more. You’ll find them at 254 W. Market St. They are open seven days a week.
2. Molly Brown’s Country Cafe
Another place that serves breakfast all day, in addition to great lunch items, is Molly Brown’s. For breakfast, we recommend one of the skillets, like the garden or the diablo, or the country breakfast. For the little ones, try the dollar cakes or the junior breakfast. You can also feed the whole family with an order of the big breakfast, which is served family-style. They even offer several specials for seniors.
For lunch, we like the taco salad, the Hillbilly lunch, the Molly Philly sandwich, as well as the hot plates. And they offer grilled cheese, cheeseburgers, and chicken tenders for the young ones. They are located at 518 Canton Rd. and you can come in seven days a week.
3. Luigi’s
For great pizza and Italian fare, visit this cozy venue at 105 N. Main St. We like to start with the homemade pasta fagiole and an Italian tossed salad with cheese. Or you can simply order a slice of their famous pizza and a salad. You’ll also find several choices for the kids, including spaghetti with meat sauce and cheese ravioli. For dinner, try their baked homemade lasagna, the homemade Italian sausage, or spaghetti with fresh garlic and oil.
Or, order an entire pepperoni pizza for the whole family to enjoy, and sip on a glass of wine with your meal as well. They are open seven days a week. Please drink responsibly and in moderation, and do not drink and drive. Alcohol is intended for adults of legal drinking age.
