One such event is the Kick 4 the Cure.

The goal of this noble organization is to have fun on a soccer field while raising funds and awareness for cancer. Kick 4 the Cure has been around since 2007 and in that span has raised more than $146,000. This year's event, which took place on Sept. 16 at Green Memorial Stadium, raised funds for the benefit of two worthy and locally run organizations that support cancer patients and their families, Camp Quality and Stewart's Caring Place.

THE HISTORY OF K4C

Kick for the Cure was started in 2007 when the Green soccer community rallied around Coach Jeff Basone as his wife, Shawn, fought a courageous battle against cancer. Since then, K4C has become an event that bands cities and communities together to raise funds and awareness for cancer, to support those who are battling this dreaded disease and to praise the memories of our valued friends and neighbors who succumbed to cancer. Toth Buick GMC is humbled to be a part of this event.
