If you are in search of a spacious and versatile mid-size SUV, the GMC Acadia is an excellent option. The Acadia is popular with families and outdoor enthusiasts alike, thanks to its roomy interior and rugged good looks.

Powertrain Options

Currently in its second generation, 2023 is the seventh model year for the Acadia. The initial powertrain option for the Acadia is a turbocharged 2.0L inline four-cylinder engine that can generate 228 horsepower. Another option is the 3.6L V6 powertrain, which bumps the horsepower up to 310. Front-wheel drive and nine-speed automatic transmission are both standard across the Acadia lineup.

Safety and Fuel Efficiency

Safety measures that come standard on all Acadia models include eight airbags, heated rearview mirrors, a collision warning system, automatic braking, parking assistance, blindspot monitoring, and a rearview reverse camera. For drivers interested in fuel efficiency, the SLE and SLT models get 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway, while the AT4 and Denali get 19 MPG (city) and 27 (highway).

Trim Packages

1. SLE

The SLE is the base model for the Acadia lineup, but that didn’t stop GMC from incorporating ample comfort features into this standard trim package. Items such as five USB ports, push-button ignition, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment console equipped with Wi-Fi technology are all included in the SLE package.

2. SLT

Building on the performance, safety, and comfort features of the SLE model, Acadia’s SLT package incorporates roof rails, heated front seats, an adjustable driver’s seat, and a power-opening trunk. The SLT trim also includes GMC’s renowned Infotainment system and remote starting capabilities, enhancing the overall utility of the Acadia and making it more user-friendly.

3. AT4

The AT4 trim package transforms the Acadia into a genuine off-roading SUV that can tackle challenging roads and power through all types of weather conditions. Equipped with an enhanced V6 engine, all-wheel drive, and active torque control and hill descent control systems, the AT4 model is ideal for fans of off-roading.

4. Denali

The Denali package is Acadia’s premium-level trim and caters to discerning drivers with a selection of sporty and luxurious features. Notably, the V6 engine has undergone further enhancements, offering a Turbo-4 option with both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) choices. Additionally, the dashboard has been equipped with a power-adjustable steering wheel, a windshield heads-up display, and a 360-degree camera, ensuring an all-around elevated driving experience.
