In the Bedford Reservation, you’ll find the All-Purpose Trail, a paved 5-mile trail ideal for jogging. It starts at the Egbert Picnic Area and runs until it ends at the Alexander Road parking lot. A hike through Bedford Reservation is the best experience if you’re up for some off-trail activities.

There are dozens of great fishing spots around Bedford, and one of them is Great Falls. The falls are also known as Gates Mills Falls and Great Falls of Tinkers Creek. This unique spot, located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, is just a mile away from Bedford. The 18 holes of the golf course are divided into two nines. In addition to having rolling fairways and greens, the front nine has ponds and lakes, while the back nine features wooded holes with streams running through them. One of the greatest features of Shawnee Hills is that it’s versatile. Regardless of the skill level, every golfer enjoys the game.
Boat Rides
Portage Lakes State Park in Akron, OH, is a haven for boat lovers. There are eight lakes encompassing 2,034 acres. Limited horsepower is allowed on all lakes except on Nimisila Reservoir, where electric motors are allowed only. Private marinas and boat rentals are available at private launch ramps around the area.
