2022 GMC Terrain

Car buyers can find the 2022 GMC Terrain in four trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. The SLE trim level comes with LED exterior lighting and heated exterior side mirrors, while the SLT trim level features a hands-free liftgate and roof rails. All four trim levels of the 2022 Terrain feature a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine under the hood. This engine can produce 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, the engine pairs to a smooth and easy 9-speed automatic transmission.

Front-wheel drive is the standard setup for the 2022 GMC Terrain. However, if you plan on using the SUV for off-roading or commuting in the winter, all-wheel drive is an optional upgrade for lower trim levels and standard with the AT4 and Denali trim levels.

Up to five can ride in the GMC Terrain. Premium cloth upholstery comes standard. This two-row SUV also comes standard with push-button ignition, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and proximity keyless entry. Plus, a 7-inch touch screen sits on the dashboard, which has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a six-speaker sound system, and a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot. The SUV offers 29.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row of seats or 63.3 cubic feet of cargo capacity if you fold down the rear row. If you're interested in additional luxury, upgrade to a higher trim level and receive a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, a household-style power outlet, ventilated front seats, driver's seat memory functions, and power adjustable and heated front seats. Upgrading to the Denali trim level gets you additional features like an upgraded driver information display, a Bose premium audio system, and HD Radio.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the Terrain with a five-star overall safety rating. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety also awarded the Terrain favorably, giving it the highest rating of Good in most of the safety tests. The GMC Terrain is made with safety in mind. That is why the SUV features standard driver-assist safety technologies like forward collision mitigation and lane-keeping assist.
